They ensure effective implementation of Positive Behavioral Intervention Supports across residential and community programs.
Summary Generated by Built In

The Master Level Clinician provides independent, consultative clinical support to adult residential and community-based programs serving individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, including those with complex behavioral and mental health needs. Clinicians play a key role in the development, implementation, and monitoring of Positive Behavioral Intervention Supports (PBIS) in alignment with DDS regulations and best practice standards, ensuring behavioral supports are person-centered, rights‑affirming, and clinically sound.

This role offers a high degree of professional autonomy, allowing clinicians to exercise clinical judgment in conducting assessments, developing Functional Behavioral Assessments and Behavior Support Plans when indicated, and guiding residential teams in consistent, ethical implementation. Clinicians work across assigned clusters and programs, balancing direct clinical involvement with mentorship, consultation, and systems-level collaboration to promote regulatory compliance, staff competency, and positive outcomes for individuals.

The ideal candidate is comfortable working within adult residential settings, understands the clinical and regulatory complexities of supporting adults with ID/DD, values interdisciplinary teamwork, and is motivated by helping individuals live safer, more fulfilling lives through evidence-based, PBIS-informed, and person-centered approaches.
