Job DescriptionWe are looking for you as a Category Purchaser - Forging (m/f/diverse) to support our area Safety and Motion at the location Frankfurt/Headquarter.
- Contributing to the design and end-to-end implementation of global category strategies
- Leading complex sourcing projects—from initial supplier selection and sourcing concept definition to high-stakes price negotiations and final contract execution
- Conducting annual price negotiations and maintaining a continuous benchmarking cycle to ensure market leadership
- Identifying new market players (Supplier Scouting) and driving supplier development programs to secure long-term competitive advantages
- Proactively identifying and executing cost-reduction initiatives without compromising on quality or resilience
- Acting as the ultimate point of contact and "highest instance" for all critical supplier-related escalations
- Academic degree in Business Administrations, Engineering, or a related field
- Strong experience in strategic procurement/category management, within a complex corporate environmen, preferably in the automotive industry
- Proficient in MS Office and ERP systems
- Fluent in English and German (both written and spoken)
- Analytical, data-driven mindset with proven problem-solving skills
- Ability to clearly present complex topics to TOP management
- High quality standards, proactive attitude, and strong communication skills
