Role Summary:
The role holder will be responsible for independently managing the procurement of indirect sourcing category. The role holder is required to manage the category for Facility Management /Professional Services / CHQ HR and bring effectiveness in the process. The position will work closely with the Country Category Manager, Indirects, India for various organization requirements and projects.
The role requires strong negotiation skills to get the best closure as per the cost competitiveness for the organization. The incumbent is required to adhere to the internal costing guidelines.
Roles and Responsibilities:
1. Facility Management (FM) Requirement:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand FM service scope needs and ensure timely acquisition of necessary resources.
- Evaluate FM vendor proposals and negotiate contracts to obtain the best value for the organization.
- Monitor FM procurement activities to ensure compliance with company policies and budgetary constraints.
2. Audit/Finance / Corporate / HR Requirement:
- Work closely with corporate teams to identify procurement requirements related to auditing and financial reporting.
- Ensure adherence to audit and finance standards and regulations in all procurement activities.
- Facilitate the procurement of services or products required for audit and finance purposes in a cost-effective manner.
3. Maintain Records and SIP (Supplier Information Portal):
- Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, contracts, and vendor information.
- Utilize the Supplier Information Portal to manage supplier relationships, performance evaluations, and compliance documentation.
- Regularly update and review SIP data to ensure data integrity and alignment with organizational needs.
4. Co-ordination and Following Up with Vendors & Plants:
- Serve as the primary point of contact between vendors, internal stakeholders, and manufacturing plants.
- Coordinate procurement activities, including purchase orders, delivery schedules, and invoicing processes.
- Follow up with vendors and plants to ensure timely delivery of goods and services and address any issues or concerns that may arise.
5. Cost Comparison & Analysis:
- Conduct cost comparison analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend strategies for cost optimization.
- Analyse pricing structures, supplier contracts, and market trends to negotiate favourable terms and conditions.
- Develop and implement cost reduction initiatives while maintaining quality standards and supplier relationships.
6. Plant/Vendor Visits:
- Organize and conduct visits to manufacturing plants and vendor facilities to assess operations, quality standards, and performance.
- Build strong relationships with key vendors and plants to foster collaboration and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Gather feedback from plant and vendor visits to identify areas for process improvement and optimization.
Role Specific Competencies / Skills:
- Ability to multitask and prioritize: to work autonomously / as part of a team.
- High on Negotiation Skills.
- Knowledge of tools and processes required for Indirect Sourcing.
- Good understanding of MS Office suite
- Strong business acumen and analytical skills to provide detailed and valuable business analysis to management.
- Hands–on with day–to–day operations, able to work under pressure & ambiguity to deliver results and observe deadlines.
- High on integrity and collaboration.
- Ability to travel across sites / offices.
- Experience in Manufacturing (FMCG, Consumer industry) will be an added advantage
