Job Description:

At Regions, the Capital Markets Equity Operations Analyst directly supports Cash Equity at the Market and Buyback programs and ensures the operational infrastructure to support the current and changing business is optimized and maintained. 

Primary Responsibilities

  • Proactively generates trading/activity blotters to Regions Capital Markets leadership

  • Disseminates concise daily and program activity reports to our clients

  • Calculates and tracks revenue through internal General Ledger and CRM reporting tools

  • Develops and maintains operational policies and procedures supporting ATM and Buyback programs

  • Partners with front office and internal stakeholders to operationalize opportunities to continuously grow the equity platform as they arise

  • Spearheads system changes and process improvements

  • Liaises with Regions Compliance to ensure all regulatory obligations are being met

  • Develops relationships with external vendors and internal stakeholders to support operational needs

  • Interfaces with clients at all levels of their organization to facilitate a smooth client experience

  • Provides daily reconciliation, calculation of equity forward price and liaison with Pershing stock loan desk

  • Oversees the daily onboarding, confirmation, settlement for ATM and Buyback programs

  • Performs in depth reviews of client onboarding documentation

  • Onboards clients to Pershing’s Netx360 application

  • Oversees the settlement of shares through our custodial relationship with Pershing

  • Manages the delivery and receipt of FedWires related to client activity

  • Minimizes operational events through a strong adherence to operational risk, providing a value-added experience to our equity clients

  • Acts as a resource to junior analysts, providing guidance when appropriate

This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.

This position is incentive eligible.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Three (3) years of experience in an analyst role within the financial services industry

Preferences

  • Finance or Accounting degree

  • Experience working with Capital Markets products

Skills and Competencies

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Good customer service skills

  • Sophisticated Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and Access

  • Proven basic knowledge of various Capital Markets products and the mechanics of basic financial instrument

  • Ability to thrive in a fast paced, high stress trading environment

Compensation Details

Pay ranges are job specific and are provided as a point-of-market reference for compensation decisions. Other factors which directly impact pay for individual associates include: experience, skills, knowledge, contribution, job location and, most importantly, performance in the job role. As these factors vary by individuals, pay will also vary among individual associates within the same job.

The target information listed below is based on the Metropolitan Statistical Area Market Range for where the position is located and level of the position.

Job Range Target:

Minimum:

$62,981.60 USD

Median:

$74,820.00 USD

Incentive Pay Plans:

This role is eligible to participate in a discretionary incentive plan. Employees have the potential to receive a discretionary award based on performance against defined metrics and goals.
