WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR: 

We are looking for an Associate Business Systems Engineer who understands fundamental computer science concepts to use modern tools and techniques to build world-class software. They should have some educational background in a relevant field (bootcamp, college, etc) and experience working on a team. This person has a thirst for knowledge and continuous learning as well as possesses strong communication skills and the ability to escalate issues to leadership. The candidate will be excited to learn new technologies like Salesforce and NetSuite that create a long-term career path in business applications and IT. You will build and iterate on internal business applications - along with the engineers on your team - with a focus on scalability, maintainability, reusability, and testability.

THE TEAM:

Salesloft’s Business Systems team is comprised of seasoned and up-and-coming experts who are all aligned on one vision and mission:

The Business Systems team consists of team members that work with Sales, Marketing, Customer Services, People Ops, Finance, and IT creating systems to more efficiently prospect, forecast, close, onboard, and support customers. Team members conceptualize the strategic priorities for the company, develop plans for execution, execute plans cross-functionally, and operationalize executed strategies for continuous improvement. 

THE SKILLSET:

  • Core language competencies (JS/framework experience, html/css, Ruby on Rails )
  • Salesforce APEX is a plus
  • Familiar with Middleware (ie. Tray.ai, Workato) and best practices for efficiency
  • Familiar with fundamental software engineering concepts, including data structures, design patterns, best practices - (DRY, SOLID, YAGNI, TDD, etc.)
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with a proactive approach
  • Experience doing development in a collaborative environment
  • A thirst for knowledge and continuous learning
  • Strong communication skills and ability to explain and escalate issues to leadership
  • Have a general business case understanding of the task at hand. 
  • Work with some guidance on prioritization and time allocation. Execute on well-defined cards with some direction

WITHIN ONE MONTH, YOU’LL:

  • Attend Salesloft’s New Hire Orientation, where you will learn our Salesloft story and understand what makes our “Lofters” unique 
  • Begin 1:1’s with your manager, understand your 30-60-90 plan, and be assigned to a development team.
  • Set your OKRs (Objectives and Key Results) with your manager and develop an action
  • Develop an understanding of the high-level architecture and interaction for the relevant business systems through training, self-study, and shadowing
  • Understand the key initiatives and scope of your functional pod assignment

WITHIN THREE MONTHS, YOU’LL:

  • Be very knowledgeable of your team’s surface area
  • Own development of your first solutions - design, development, testing, and documentation
  • Develop a working rhythm with your technical team lead and product manager

WITHIN SIX MONTHS, YOU’LL:

  • Be a lead contributor to team planning and execution
  • Be mentoring other Systems team members on engineering practices and coding standards
  • Achieve the results defined in your first set of OKRs

Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location.
The total compensation package for this position may also include performance bonus, stock, benefits and/or other applicable incentive compensation plans.

Base Pay Range
$324,000$556,000 MXN
