Job Description
BAE Systems, Inc. is currently looking for a Business Specialist Manger to join an innovative team of developers in Huntsville, AL. This position supports the development of mission-critical applications for a federal government client focused on national security. As a member of our team, you will join a diverse group of driven professionals who design the products and systems that support enhanced capabilities, protect national security, and keep critical information and infrastructure secure. The Business Specialist Manager will be responsible for using a variety of increasingly complex professional concepts and methodologies. Exercises independent judgment in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria to obtain results. Develops and applies analyses of situations or data using an in-depth evaluation of various factors. Recognizes and explores other work, tools, techniques, and technologies to improve or influence results. Writes a variety of documents and prepares and presents briefings based on materials. Works independently to determine approach to and objectives of work assignments. Leads tasks or segments of programs; provides technical leadership/direction to complete programs. Team Leader and liaison to the FBI. Develops methodologies to best fit the FBI's internal governance process which balances efficient development of user-end functionality with quality. Assesses and improves the agile methodology as implemented by the FBI. Ensures team is fully staffed and skilled to support product team functions. Works with government to draft and provide input into new product evaluations and level of effort estimates. Provide expert knowledge and insight to improve and grow ITADD Product Lifecycle Management practice by participating in cross-product collaboration exercises. Provides Status Review as part of FBI Scrums or Stand-up Meetings. Provides programmatic support to the government Product Manager, Unit Chief and other leadership. Work with Government Leads to ensure consistency in Field and HQ user needs intake and feedback processes across products by leveraging existing COTS solutions for streamlining user feedback processes. Work with technical team and other stakeholders to conduct trade studies in the areas of technology refresh. Determine appropriate private and public technological solutions from vendors whose expertise and products/tools may be useful in developing sustained innovative solutions and best practices to meet mission critical priorities. Determine return on investment as well as risks and opportunities for integrating new technologies. Assists in developing program schedules to include appropriate milestones. Assesses required deliverables and appropriate review processes. Identify industry best practices with potential for adoption. Reviews and refines for governance structure, policies and procedures for managing change and requests to interface with IT systems/products.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience (1 year of education = 1.5 years of experience)
  • Minimum of 12 years experience managing integrated teams and managing large IT teams.
  • Applies a mastery of knowledge and extensive experience as a generalist or specialist.


Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $127900 - $217400
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
