We’re hiring Business Operations & Automation Engineer to drive pivotal projects across the business, and be a critical multiplier that enables Enode to scale. This is a high-impact, high-visibility role that will work cross-functionally with teams, such as Revenue and Finance, and executives to build processes, metrics tracking, automation and AI-driven solutions across the business.

You will focus heavily on introducing important automations into our Finance function within the first 3-6 months, with ample opportunity to expand in scope to work with Revenue and other teams as your role evolves.

As the second hire into our Operations function, you’ll be working directly with Tim Finney, Henrik Langeland and other teams/executives across the business. This role offers meaningful impact in a fast-growing, early-stage climate-tech to help shape our foundations and future trajectory.

In this role, you will:

Automation, AI & Enablement

• Design and implement automation workflows to reduce manual overhead (e.g., invoicing, reconciliation, reporting for Finance, funnel and data hygiene, revenue dashboards for GTM)

• Evaluate, integrate, and maintain AI/automation tools that streamline financial and operational workflows

• Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis with dynamic, data-driven models

• Assist with board, investor, and audit reporting, streamlining data collection and improving quality through automation

• Ensure data accuracy by partnering with external accounting providers and managing systems integrations

• Prototype and deploy lightweight LLM-powered agents (e.g., GPT, Claude) to automate internal operations or decision-making

• Act as an internal consultant with stakeholders across finance, ops, and other functions to identify and act on high-impact automation opportunities

Operational Execution

• Act as the operational glue across teams, surfacing blockers, driving accountability, and improving handoffs

• Step into ambiguous operational gaps, bring structure, and implement sustainable solutions without waiting for permission

Data & Performance Analytics

• Define and evolve real-time dashboards for company-wide metrics and OKRs

• Lead deep-dive analyses on business performance and operational bottlenecks

• Partner with team leads to deliver data solutions that improve decision-making

• Build lightweight internal tools (dashboards, scripts, mini-apps) to support cross-functional initiatives

You are an ambitious, analytically minded generalist with either a technical background or a distinct interest in data, automation tooling and AI. We’re not expecting the ideal candidate to have experience in enacting projects across all the areas we have set out above - but we are looking for technically-minded, first principles thinkers who enjoy building innovative solutions to startup problems.

You have:

• Experience in a hybrid technical/business role, ideally with:

  • A foundation in consulting, finance, or operations (e.g., strategy, FP&A, bizops)

  • Hands-on experience in startups or tech-forward teams

• Fluency in spreadsheets and modern data tools (Excel, SQL, Equals, Snowflake, Notion, etc.)

• Obsessed with new technology, AI, LLMs, automation APIs, and AI agents, and how it can be leveraged to drive efficiency and business outcomes

• Usage of tools such as n8n, Retool, Make, Zapier, to drive automated processes or internal platforms

• Self-starter mentality with the ability to navigate ambiguity and prioritize autonomously

• Process and execution-oriented, with a proven ability to drive initiatives from conception to completion

• Strong understanding of SaaS business models and recurring revenue metrics

• Bonus: experience with programming or scripting languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript)
