Sandisk is seeking a highly analytical and intellectually curious Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst to support the Consumer organization through financial intelligence and data-driven decision support. This role sits at the intersection of financial data and consumer business intelligence – transforming complex datasets into clear, actionable recommendations.

As part of the Business Intelligence team, this individual will be responsible for dissecting financial and business performance data across products, regions, and channels to uncover the “why” behind performance trends. The role goes beyond reporting – focusing on generating differentiated insights and helping guide strategic decisions for the business.

The ideal candidate combines strong technical analytical capabilities with business acumen and storytelling skills. They should be comfortable navigating ambiguity, asking the right questions, and translating data into clear narratives that inform executive decision-making.

This is a high-impact role with exposure to cross-functional partners across Finance, Sales, Marketing, and Product.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Analyze financial and business performance data to generate actionable insights across products, regions, and channels.
  • Develop deep-dive analyses (i.e., product, region, customer performance shifts) to explain drivers of performance and identify opportunities.
  • Translate complex datasets into clear narratives that inform strategic decision-making and business actions.
  • Leverage financial dashboards and reporting tools using Power BI and Excel to track key financial and operational metrics
  • Identify trends, anomalies, and root causes in data and proactively communicate insights to stakeholders
  • Automate recurring analyses and improve data workflows to increase efficiency and scalability
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and adherence to governance standards
  • Communicate findings through compelling storytelling, presentations, and executive-ready outputs
  • Write complex SQL queries to extract and manipulate data from financial and enterprise databases

Qualifications

REQUIRED

  • BA/BS degree in business, economics, strategy, or related field.
  • 1+ years of hands-on experience in financial analysis, data analytics, or business intelligence roles.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to break down complex problems and identify key drivers.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., modeling, pivot tables, scenario analysis)
  • Experience with BI tools such as Power BI and/or Tableau.
  • Strong SQL skills and experience working with large datasets and relational databases.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to tell a clear, compelling story.
  • Highly organized and able to manage multiple analyses and priorities simultaneously.

PREFERRED

  • Graduate or advanced level degree in business (i.e., MBA).
  • 3+ years of business intelligence and/or finance experience.
  • Exposure to consumer technology, retail, or CPG industries.
  • Demonstrated ability to connect analytics to business outcomes and recommendations.
  • Strong familiarity or background in consumer technology and/or data storage.
