About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a strategic and collaborative Business Growth Strategy Director to lead the Ultra-High-Net-Worth Sales Team within the Wealth Investment Management’s (WIM) National Sales Organization. This high-impact leader will oversee a team of senior strategists who work closely with financial advisors and cross-functional partners - including Trust & Fiduciary Services, Wealth Planning, and the Family Office – to deliver customized advise on complex wealth transfer, estate planning, and legacy strategies for our clients.
In this role, you will:
Lead team to achieve specific objectives by using the consultative process with largest and most complex clients and prospects with a net worth of $25 million to assess goals, objectives, and current situation to determine the most appropriate planning offering.
Focus on cash flow analysis, insurance analysis, education funding analysis, executive compensation issues and stock option analysis, asset allocation analysis, income tax planning, charitable planning, business succession, asset protection, and estate and wealth transfer planning.
Manage and develop overall strategic development, implementation, and management of multiple large or complex market segments, including multicultural markets critical to companywide objectives
Focus on achieving market or business segment growth and financial objectives while also ensuring adherence to compliance regulations and policies
Identify opportunities and strategies for process improvement and provide Business Growth Strategy expertise to experienced management and product groups to ensure focus, resource and investment allocation, and implementation of effective business strategies
Lead a Business Growth Strategy team by making strategic decisions to attain business segment growth and financial objectives
Ensure the work is accomplished through experienced managers
Collaborate and consult with Business Growth Strategy peers, colleagues, consultants, and managers to monitor development of strategic initiatives for business development
Manage allocation of people and financial resources for Business Growth Strategy
Develop and guide a culture of talent development to meet business objectives and strategy
Required Qualifications:
8+ years of Business Growth Strategy experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
4+ years of management or leadership experience
Desired Qualifications:
Successfully completed FINRA Series 7, 66, 9/10, or 24 exams to qualify for immediate registration (or FINRA recognized equivalents) must be completed within 90/180 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a track record of effective financial advisor coaching
Strong leadership and strategic planning skills
Strong relationship building and presentation skills
Strong attention to detail and accuracy skills
Effective organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills
Demonstrated successful growth through strategic development, leveraging leadership skills and extensive experience
Job Expectations:
Successfully completed FINRA Series 7, 66, 9/10, or 24 exams to qualify for immediate registration (or FINRA recognized equivalents) must be completed within 90/180 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire.
Obtaining and/or maintaining appropriate Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) license(s) is required for ongoing employment in this position. FINRA Series 7 and 66 examinations, or equivalent must be completed within either a 90 or 180-day time period following commencement of employment, depending upon the number of license(s) needed if not immediately available to transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted. This will be communicated at time of offer acceptance. Compliance with state law registration and licensing requirements is mandatory. In addition to state registration and licensing requirements, specific product licenses or SAFE licensing may apply. Additional requirements include meeting enhanced financial fitness and criminal background standards. Wells Fargo will initiate the FINRA licensing review process at the time of offer acceptance. For specific FINRA qualification exams obtained after 9/30/2018, the Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) exam co-requisite is required

Ability to travel up to 50% of time, primarily in market.
