Job Description
- Support the Layout & Piping Engineering Manager (BIM Manager) by developing and implementing of BIM standards, protocols, and workflows.
- Ensures BIM rules are adhered throughout the project lifecycle according to BIM execution plan.
- Leading BIM coordination meetings to facilitate problem resolution and to enhance project collaboration.
- Performing clash detection checks to reduce conflicts during construction phases.
- Training and supporting team members in BIM processes and tools.
- Assisting the Layout & Piping Engineers with subcontractor models and data exchanges.
- Maintaining project documentation and ensuring systematic storage and retrieval of project information
- Familiar with key BIM standards, including ISO 19650 series, BS 1192, PAS 1192 series, Italian BIM standards UNI 11337 from 1 to 7, building SMART standards (IFC and BCF), and COBie.
- Conduct regular quality control audits on BIM models and project deliverables to ensure compliance with standards and specifications.
- Keep up with industry trends, new technologies, and BIM regulations, and share this knowledge with the team.
Qualifications
- Technical diploma or degree and BIM Certification in Italy is an advantage
- Good user knowledge of BIM coordination platform and tools, such as Navisworks, Autodesk construction cloud
- Advantage with good user knowledge of engineering tools AVEVA E3D and/or Inventor, Tekla
- Good user knowledge of MS Office tools
- Fluent in English and Italian
- Good awareness and understanding of quality assurance
- Presentation skills
- Good problem-solving capabilities
- Good communication and coordination skills
- Good reporting skills
