Job summary: We are seeking a passionate Middle BI Engineer to join our Thales Corporate Engineering team, in Bucharest.
The TCE division provides expertise, coaching and governance for engineering activities (including product and project execution), helps standardize methods, and drives digital transformation in engineering.
It also fosters communities of engineering professionals and supports organizational maturity and capability growth across Thales globally.
Main responsibilities:
- Understand the functional aspects of the delivery by constructively discussing with the Product Owner and the Proxy Product Owner.
- Create and maintain dashboards and reporting layers in Looker Studio or another data visualization tool.
- Create technical specifications related to the dashboards and KPI calculations.
- Support product and business teams with ad-hoc analysis and data-driven recommendations
- Contribute to data modeling and mapping to ensure data integrity and quality.
- Contribute to data strategy and governance initiatives to improve overall data maturity.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Math, Statistics, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Data Analyst, BI Engineer, or similar role in a tech-driven environment.
- Good experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Looker), preferably Looker Studio or at least a minimal experience with it.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data into clear insights.
- Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., GCP, AWS, Azure), GCP is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in SQL and NoSQL.
- Experience with Python, R, or other statistical tools is a plus.
- Good problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Good communication and relationship with the stakeholders and team members
- Capable to give and receive feedback; able to listen and share, able to give constructive feedback
- English Fluent, French would be a plus
