Your Role and Responsibilities
ABB Training Center Berlin gGmbH is an educational service provider of ABB Germany for dual vocational training programs. Our training focuses on metal and electrical engineering as well as mechatronics.
We support our clients from ABB business units and around 150 partner companies in Berlin and Brandenburg with modern, high-quality foundational training for their apprentices. Qualified and dedicated instructors who use innovative teaching methods and provide personalized guidance to convey both technical knowledge and social skills are the cornerstone of our success. You will primarily be responsible for:
Conducting practical and theoretical training of apprentices in the field of metal technology
Teaching skills and knowledge according to the training regulations and internal training plans
Assessing apprentice performance
Supporting apprentices in exam preparation and in-company or external projects
Promoting the development of technical, methodological, and social competencies
Collaborating with partner companies, vocational schools, and relevant chambers of commerce (IHKs)
Preparing and implementing new teaching and learning concepts related to digitalization
Qualifications for the Role
Completed training as a mechatronics technician or industrial mechanic
Ideally further qualification as a certified technician or master craftsman
Instructor qualification certificate (AEVO)
Several years of professional experience with strong expertise in metalworking, assembly of mechatronic systems, and pneumatics/hydraulics
Knowledge of technical communication and use of CAD-based systems
Solid IT skills
Fluent German (spoken and written); English skills desirable
Independent and responsible working style with a willingness to learn
Team spirit and empathy
