Landrum & Brown (L&B) is seeking an experienced and visionary Associate Vice President, Aviation Financial Planning to join our growing team of aviation experts across the U.S. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional to lead complex financial and management consulting projects that directly influence how airports plan, fund, and deliver the next generation of infrastructure and passenger experiences.
At L&B, we partner with airports and aviation agencies worldwide to bring strategic clarity and long-term financial sustainability to their operations and investments.
The Opportunity
As an Associate Vice President, you will lead airport financial planning and project management efforts, guiding clients through the development of sound business plans, capital funding strategies, and financial analyses that support major airport programs. You’ll serve as a trusted advisor to airport leadership, combining technical excellence, business acumen, and a collaborative mindset to help our clients achieve their strategic goals.
You’ll also play a key role in mentoring team members, managing multi-disciplinary projects, and contributing to the continued growth of Landrum & Brown’s financial consulting practice.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead financial management and planning assignments for airports and aviation agencies across the U.S.

  • Develop financial models, forecasts, and analyses to support capital improvement programs, rates and charges, and long-term funding strategies.

  • Advise airport clients on business planning, funding, and financial policy decisions that ensure operational and fiscal resilience.

  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, serving as a trusted partner and primary point of contact for financial consulting engagements.

  • Manage project scope, budgets, and deliverables to deliver exceptional value and client satisfaction.

  • Support business development through client outreach, proposal development, and thought leadership initiatives.

  • Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior and mid-level staff.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Aviation Management, or a related field (Master’s preferred).

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in aviation financial planning, airport management consulting, or capital program project management.

  • Demonstrated expertise in airport finance, including rates and charges, cost allocation, and capital improvement funding mechanisms (PFCs, grants, debt financing, etc.).

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication and client relationship management skills, with proven success leading complex projects and teams.

  • Ability to think strategically, manage competing priorities, and deliver clear, actionable insights.
