Associate Principal Manufacturing Engineer - DFx
Reports to: Country Lead, Manufacturing Engineering
Function:
Manufacturing Engineering is the bridge between product development and manufacturing. We are tasked to deliver full product industrialization starting at early product development lifecycle through close collaboration with Product Design and Development teams up to full manufacturing execution and product EOL.
Responsibilities:
• Lead and mentor a world-class team of upstream manufacturing engineer driving excellence in DFx across all product lines.
• Champion early design involvement — influence product design from concept to translating product innovation into scalable, automated, and cost-efficient manufacturing and assembly lines until product end of life.
• Develop strategic roadmap towards implementation of DFx standards, robust manufacturing and product industrialization and achieve manufacturing engineering deliverables at each product development milestones.
• Drive process innovation, automation integration, and application of new manufacturing technology solutions for the next generation of products.
• Develop close collaboration with R&D, Product Development, Global Supply Chain Operations and Quality Teams to make new products ready for mass production.
• Establish close partnerships with global contract manufacturers and suppliers to deliver and scale new products for manufacturing.
About you:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Mechatronics Engineering. MBA, desirable but not required.
• 10+ years upstream manufacturing engineering and NPI / NOD roles with the last 5 years’ in team leadership and stakeholder management.
• Proven expertise in DFx (Design for manufacturing and assembly, Design for Automation) and setting up and sustaining an automation-led assembly processes.
• Strong leadership presence and ability to influence cross functional teams in RDD, Operations and Quality.
• Experience collaborating with global automation and equipment suppliers and contract manufacturers.
• Passion for building innovative, high-quality consumer products that scale.
