The Associate Principal Engineer will be essential in driving measurable results for each Business Unit and deploying processes aimed at waste reduction, increased efficiency, and growth projects. This role will specifically focus on process optimization, productivity initiatives, and capacity expansion while ensuring the desired consumer experience is achieved.

  • Project Management: Leverage project management expertise to lead complex process optimization and productivity initiatives, prioritizing tasks while managing budgets, risks, and timelines.
  • Capability Building: Roll out manufacturing standards specific to process capability building and training for plant colleagues.
  • Process Execution: Execute High Alternative Lines Qualifications (ALQ), providing technical support and troubleshooting to meet Commissioning Qualification and Verifications (CQV) objectives and ensure thorough documentation of each activity.
  • Technical Readiness: Actively participate in technical readiness level (TRL/TRAM) reviews and discussions to align process advancements with organizational goals.
  • Data Analysis: Leverage statistical modeling and simulation tools to evaluate processes and identify areas for improvement.
  • Technical Direction: Use organizational awareness and clear communication skills to shape the technical direction of process initiatives that drive business benefits.
  • Ensure foundational skills and capabilities evolve in step with technological advancements.
  • Hands-On Role: Spend at least 75% of your time on the plant floor, focusing on execution.
  • Your contributions impact product quality, process performance, and cost.

You are an internally recognized expert in process development and process engineering and identify, define, and solve complex business problems by applying your broad technical and consumer knowledge and in-depth understanding of manufacturing technology related to Mondelēz products. You serve as a senior technical resource for the organization, regularly interacting with senior management.

You will suppoert the development and optimization of processes that enhance consumer benefits through new products, quality improvements, and productivity opportunities. This includes defining objectives, creating project plans, and delivering solutions on time and budget while keeping stakeholders informed. As a technical leader, you will advance expertise, share best practices, influence technical direction, and mentor R&D talent to develop future leaders.

  • BS in Engineering or Food Science required.
  • Green belt certification or statistical skills
  • 7 years of industry experience required.
