Role: Associate Manager, Procurement MRO
Location: Mijdrecht, NL
Overview:
Person joining us will take a leadership role to deliver Plant, Facilities & MRO Procurement objectives in SCJ Mijdrecht - Europlant, according SCJ Policies & Procedures. These include among others Customer Service, Quality, Cost Savings, Cash improvements, compliance and more; working with both the local and regional stakeholders to support daily and long-term business operations. The results are delivered by using proficient Procurement operations skills, a ‘can-do’ attitude and ability to build relationships internally and externally that help to influence across functional, cultural and hierarchical boundaries.
Responsibilities:
- SCJ Mijdrecht - Plant, Facilities & MRO Procurement Operations is responsible within the Plant, to ensure critical supply needs are met, providing local leadership to support end-to-end process with ownership and commitment to procurement strategies throughout planning and execution.
- SRM - supplier relationship management process including day-to-day management of suppliers, development and execution of SLAs (Service level agreements), management of the relationship between suppliers and internal stakeholders, pro-active management of supply, financial and quality risks. Contribute to establishing metrics and evaluate, develop, and prioritize approaches to meet business objectives and benefit targets.
- Support and collaborate with the Procurement Portfolio Plant, Facilities & MRO team to deploy the development of Procurement strategies for SCJ Mijdrecht, including but not limited to identifying and implementing cost savings programs.
- Lead and manage the SCJ Mijdrecht Procurement team to continually build and develop skills and capabilities to maximize people excellence.
- Work cross-functionally and act as single point of contact in developing Cost saving projects for SCJ Mijdrecht;
- Manage and foster key senior management relationships within the plant and region;
- Seek and share best practices and develop synergies in key areas such as market analysis, cost modeling, risk analysis, benchmarking and development of Procurement Strategies;
- Support introduction and roll-out of process optimizations within SCJ Mijdrecht - Plant, Facilities & MRO Procurement Operations;
- Support regional RFIs and RFPs;
- Execute / lead assigned projects in a timely manner;
- Procurement to Pay processes: Supervise purchase requisition and purchase order, verify order confirmation, delivery notification and Invoice payment. Actively control and improve spend, consolidate processes to reduce errors, streamline catalog maintenance.
- Produce periodic reports as required.
Experience you’ll bring:
- 5+ years of experience in Procurement and/or Supply Chain
- Work experience in a multinational environment strongly preferred
- Professional procurement certifications preferred (e.g. CIPS or NEVI)
- Experience with indirect material procurement or plant manufacturing procurement preferred
- Broader Supply Chain Experience preferred
- Knowledge of FMCG business
- HBO or University degree, ideally Business Administration or Engineering
- Full proficiency in speaking, writing, and reading English and Dutch
- Analytical mindset, with good finance and cost saving understanding;
- Capability to focus on delivering requested service to internal customers;
- Ability to execute defined strategies;
- MS skills (Excel / Word / Power Point) and SAP knowledge.

Job Requirements:
- Travel 5%, depending on business needs
