As an Associate Finance Manager, you will partner with the business to ensure growth and to enable the business to meet its' financial goals, proactively lead efforts to identify opportunities, and implement solutions to enhance the financial performance of the business.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position serves both the Customer Business Development and Finance departments. It involves handling a variety of responsibilities and provides broad oversight of topline results for the North America retail business.
The role includes managing the month-end close process for sales and trade, overseeing the trade balance sheets and topline profit and loss performance, and ensuring compliance with key financial controls. Additionally, it requires collaboration with finance leadership on major M&A projects, including the Magnum Ice Cream Company separation and Dr Squatch acquisition.
Responsibilities also include preparing the trade profit and loss statement and balance sheet, as well as leading the implementation of digital solutions using AI, robotic process automation, and best practices within the Pigment platform to improve routine processes.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in a related field
Minimum four years of relevant finance experience
Excellent analytical and communication skills with ability to respond under pressure.
Business partnering experience with clear, focused, and sound financial assessment and guidance (strategic insights, risks, and opportunities)
Organized, autonomous, and proactive, with a desire to develop in a caring and stimulating environment.
Ability to manage large data sets and applications and create automated processes for month end journal entries and reports
Ability and drive to work independently and proactively identify white-space opportunities and implementing them
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Understand Unilever’s key financial systems and how information is extracted and used from each of them
Driving/improving digital automation of processes
Developing strong personal and team relationships across a multitude of business stakeholders
Strong understanding of CD / Financial systems (SSAS, Evergreen, Prism, etc.) is a plus.
Familiarity with elements of trade spend, revenue growth and their drivers is a plus
