Associate Engineer, Embedded Software Development

Overview:

Analog Devices, Inc. is seeking an Associate Engineer, Embedded Software Development to join our Energy Software Team, part of End Market Software Solutions group. This is an opportunity to join a growing team that implements leading edge algorithms to monitor and ensure resilience of the electrical grid.

The successful candidate will be a technically strong and self-motivated individual with a solid understanding of embedded platforms and signal processing concepts. 

The ideal candidate will be a collaborative contributor with excellent communication skills and the ability to work across disciplines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, test, and benchmark features for embedded software products.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand processor architecture, optimization strategies, and system constraints.
  • Implement and optimize signal processing algorithms and frameworks on embedded platforms.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science.
  • Strong C/C++ programming skills.
  • Excellent analytical and debugging abilities.
  • Solid understanding of processor architectures, especially ARM Cortex-M microcontrollers.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with Python.
  • Experience with RTOS such as Zephyr or FreeRTOS.
  • Proficiency in using Git, Jira, and Confluence.
  • Knowledge of best coding practices and quality attributes in embedded software.
  • Familiarity with object-oriented programming and design patterns.
  • Experience working with various peripherals such as UART, SPI.
