Responsibilities.

  • Partner closely with the Senior Data Scientist and work with stakeholders to understand the technical and business context of their work, define measurable KPIs and goals, and build new data science/ML models that drive business value
  • Build models using statistical and computational tools to identify trends in customer behavior and company performance
  • Develop novel KPIs to evaluate the performance of process automation systems
  • Apply data mining, data modeling, natural language processing, and machine learning to extract and analyze information from large structured and unstructured datasets
  • Identify data and insight gaps, advocate for closing them, then execute

Your background.

  • One (1) year of experience in identifying trends and problems through complex big data analysis, leading efforts to combine analysis from multiple data sources using a variety of techniques, ranging from simple data aggregation via statistical analysis to complex data mining independently
  • You are detail oriented and adept at drawing real-world conclusions from data sets 
  • Desire to help people use data to answer questions and make decisions
  • You are comfortable talking to stakeholders and understanding their business needs 
  • Experience in SQL and general data analysis concepts
  • Experience in Python with common data analysis libraries
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Engineering or other technology related field
  • 1+ years of hands-on experience in building and deploying ML models to production environments

Total Rewards 

Job Level: 10 

Base Compensation Range for Job Level: $80,000-95,000 

The cash compensation above includes base salary only. Certain roles are eligible for additional cash incentives such as commission, annual bonus targets, overtime pay or other variable incentives.

This strategy is based on several factors unique to each individual, including: 1) the skills, experience and qualifications of the individual; 2) the responsibilities and demands of the role; 3) analysis of external market data; and 4) company budget and financial performance. 

HealthJoy is a remote-first employer. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. 

At HealthJoy, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each role and individual.

Remote Workspace

Employees work remotely.

HealthJoy is a fully remote workplace! For Chicago based employees, we do have an office in River North that they're welcome to join, but no one is required to work from office. We value flexibility of working from home and the balance that brings.
