Job Summary: As an Engineer II, Software at DISA Global Solutions, you will leverage your advanced proficiency in the technology stack, including ASP.NET MVC, C#, SQL, JavaScript, CSS, and HTML, to contribute to the development and enhancement of our software solutions. You will play a key role in the entire software development lifecycle, from project initiation to completion, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, scalable, and maintainable software products. Collaborating closely with product management, you will participate in defining and prioritizing future features, providing valuable insights and technical expertise. Additionally, you will mentor and support other engineers, perform testing activities, and champion best practices to drive continuous improvement in our software development processes. Essential Functions: • Lead the design and development of front-end user interactions, leveraging advanced technologies such as Bootstrap and jQuery to create intuitive and responsive user interfaces. • Architect and implement complex server-side functionality using C# and ASP.NET MVC, including integration with Azure technologies like WebJobs and Functions to enhance scalability and performance. • Drive optimization of data access by employing advanced techniques such as ORM and raw SQL, ensuring efficient retrieval and manipulation of data. • Take ownership of ensuring that new functionality adheres to internal standards for performance, quality, scalability, and user experience, conducting thorough testing and validation throughout the development lifecycle. Essential Qualifications: • Demonstrated ability to approach problems pragmatically, prioritizing efficient solutions over perfection, when necessary, to meet project deadlines and objectives. • Expertise in ASP.NET MVC and C#, or advanced proficiency in at least two similar technologies, showcasing the ability to develop robust and scalable software solutions. • Proficiency in SQL, with a focus on database development from a developer's perspective, including the ability to design efficient database schemas and write complex queries. • Proficient in front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, with the capability to create engaging user interfaces and optimize user experience. • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent work experience demonstrating a strong foundation in software engineering principles and practices.
