Join our team in Amanzoe. Scattered with Unesco-protected ruins, the beach-fringed Peloponnese has been at the heart of Greek culture for millennia. Resting on the east coast of the Peloponnese near Porto Heli, Amanzoe is a modern-day Acropolis from which 360-degree views encompass olive groves and the Aegean sea. We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Assistant Sommelier who embodies Aman’s dedication to warm, personalised and intuitive hospitality to join Amanzoe, in the Peloponnese, Greece. Reporting to the Food and Beverage Management team, the Assistant Sommelier plays an essential role in elevating the dining experience through expert wine service, thoughtful pairings and refined guest engagement. This hands-on position requires strong wine knowledge, professionalism and a genuine passion for curating memorable experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Provide refined and personalised wine service in alignment with Aman’s standards.

  • Support the restaurant team in delivering exceptional dining experiences.

  • Assist guests with wine selections and offer thoughtful pairing recommendations.

  • Maintain wine storage areas, ensuring proper organisation, rotation and hygiene.

  • Assist with receiving and stocking wine deliveries.

  • Collaborate with the Sommelier team to update wine lists and support training initiatives.

  • Communicate guest preferences and special requests accurately to the team.

  • Uphold excellent presentation, grooming and service etiquette at all times.

  • Work closely with the kitchen and service teams to ensure seamless operations.

  • Anticipate guest needs and respond promptly and professionally.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role within a luxury hotel or high-end restaurant.

  • WSET/WSPC Level 2 qualification or equivalent, with strong wine knowledge.

  • Fluency in written and verbal Greek and English.

  • Additional languages such as French, Italian or Spanish are an advantage.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Micros systems.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Excellent organisational, time management and problem-solving abilities.

  • A collaborative, guest-focused and detail-oriented mindset aligned with Aman values.

  • You must have the legal right to work in Greece.
