SUMMARYMaintains ongoing relationships with existing clients including occasional client visits. Intervenes when issues occur with clients and facilitates business development and sales activities within established pricing and contract terms. May accept inspection and related assignments - when required - and ensure timely delivery of inspection reports by coordinating and managing the complete workflow.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES·The Assistant Operations Manager shall assist Operations Manager and/or Branch Manager in his responsibilities regarding the location.·The Assistant Operations Manager is responsible for the efficient organization of all department processes and personnel within the location, so that he can meet client needs accurately and on time.·Is responsible for and takes care of running the operation at the lowest possible costs, while meeting the requirements for safety, quality of service, employee satisfaction and maintenance of assets. The Assistant Operations Manager must ensure full cooperation with Operations Manager, Branch Manager and all other managers on all assignments.·Must follow all company procedures as established by Saybolt and Core Laboratories, including but not limited to HSE Manual, Accounting Policies & Procedures, Saybolt Administration Instruction Letter, IT procedures, Ethics Policy, Saybolt Compliance Code, etc. Must keep himself updated and aware of all updates and act accordingly.·Inspector Account Manager reports directly to Operations Manager and/or Assistant Branch Manager.QUALIFICATIONS·Minimum technical degree and/or university degree; or Sailor with 10 years’ experience as officer; or 10-15 of relevant experience as an Inspection Account Manager.·Excellent knowledge of Petrochemical products, chemicals, gases, other liquid cargoes and/or agri products.·Excellent verbal and written knowledge of local language and English.·Advanced computer skills (MS Windows, Word, Excel, company systems)·Familiar with basic financial and customer service principles. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES- Leadership abilities, interpersonal skills, good communication skills and team building skills.
- Highly organized, positive, problem solving and analytical.
- Excellent use of our working tools, connect, Sail, excel spreadsheet, etc. Informing and reporting to the clients with total autonomy and without supervision from higher level of Management.
- Coordinates a teamwork and is capable to organize inspectors travelling and work with and excellent communication with his managers.
- Ensures location staff carry-out activities in accordance with individual client instructions, Saybolt Standard procedures, Global Safety Manual, risk assessment, local standards/safety rules and Core Laboratories/Saybolt company policies.
- Maintains ongoing relationships with existing (key) clients including occasional client visits
- Facilitates commercial activities within established pricing and contract terms but does not set these. Serves as a communication link between clients and Business Development/Sales.
- Acts as first point of contact for clients and has the ability and authority to resolve client issues or disputes.
- Monitors timelines, communicates progress to clients (e.g. in case of delays) and intervenes when necessary.
- May accept inspection and related assignments - when required - and ensures timely delivery of inspection reports by coordinating and managing the complete workflow between Operations and Account Coordinators, Inspection staff, Laboratory and Office Staff.
- Reviews Inspection reports/forms for completeness, appropriateness and accuracy.
- Reports updates and final reports to clients on a timely manner to fulfil with company KPI’s.
- Review time records and coordinate/prepare client invoicing (e.g. issue invoices and monitor invoices overdue).
- May schedule and will participate in safety meeting, investigate accidents, and continually emphasize safety to all field personnel.
- Review and approve field staff expenses, time records, incentives, etc., related to field activities.
- In collaboration with local Safety Officer, shall ensure that all employees follow safety instructions and premises, equipment and processes are in conformance to HSE Manual and local safety regulations.
- All complaints and claims shall be immediately communicated to Branch Manager and Management.
- Shall organize regular meetings with all staff including the management team to inform or discuss accordingly.
- At any time, can be asked to prepare training presentations for both local and international clients and deliver this training.
- Has a working knowledge of tank calibration procedures, relevant tables, and documentation.
- Has a good understanding regarding loss control procedures and related investigations.
- Has attended classroom training and passed appropriate examinations for managing field operations.
- Ability to perform complex mathematical calculations (e.g. compute flow rate, ratio, percentage, quantities - linear, volumetric or weight - and marine geometrical calculations)
At any time, the company can assign other duties as deemed necessary.
Needs to be willing to travel between locations and international ones in case of needed to ensure a good relationship and feedback process.

Valid driving license required.
The employee may be required (depending on location) to work irregular hours/ shifts (including nights, weekends, holidays, and days off).
Must be ready to accept job assignments at any time, including scheduled days off. Participation in the rotation of after-hour dispatching activities may be required for business needs.
Must be willing and able to perform field inspection work as requested safely and in accordance with applicable standards. Must be able to work in refineries, and on-board marine vessels as necessary.
