Purpose of the Job:
Competitive buying, sustainable sourcing and building purpose-led partnerships for warehousing and SOB.
Key Accountabilities:
You are expected to Deliver on the key matrices of World class service, Competitive Cost and Sustainable sourcing by
• Understanding of complex warehousing operations as well as forecasting future markets trends.
• Ensure all operations in Warehouse and Distribution are within the agreed SHEQ and food safety guidelines.
• Plan and Optimize Resource Utilization for smooth running of operations.
• Implement World class Practices across all DCs and drive productivity.
• Build and sustain collaborative/ productive relationship with Unilever Customers; 3PLs to drive costs and efficiencies.
• Responsible for End-to-end cost management for the warehouse.
• Responsible for closing contract for secondary distribution.
• Identify opportunities to Automate and Lead Automation projects on warehouse operations.
• Coordinate with Branch team that all facilities are compliant to Legislation and standards, with respect to Security, Safety Health and Environmental management.
• Respond appropriately to emergencies or urgent issues as they arise and deal with the consequences.
• Calculate and compare costs for required goods or services like RT/BOPT/HPT etc to achieve maximum value for money.
• Work with Branch operations and Controls team to ensure the operational SOP’s are followed and NC’s are resolved within the defined timelines and implement system to avoid re occurrence.
• Plan for future development in line with the Strategic Business Objectives.
• Lead and coordinate with teams as required to cover various areas of responsibility.
• Proven project management, budget and financial control is essential.
• Improve Space/Handling Productivity thru Innovation/Automation
• End to end cost negotiations for secondary distribution.
• Co-creating and Implementing Procurement strategies for your portfolio
• Working closely with Internal Operations team and External Supply Partners to drive key initiatives.
• Troubleshooting supply Chain issues (e.g., Crisis Management)
• Identifying and Implementing tools and process to optimize sourcing practices.
• Closing contracts with suppliers with Global practices.
• Work upon closure of USQS audit.
• Lead Savings and budgeting exercise.

Travel :
The role will involve domestic travel for 10% of the year.
Skills
An ideal candidate is expected to have.
• Strong analytical skills
• Financial analysis and reporting
• Proficiency in MS Excel, Word and Power Point
• SAP and Digital sourcing Platforms knowledge (advantage)
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Fluency in spoken and written English and any Indian language preferable

Education and Experiences
The Candidate should have.
• Degree in Engineering and Preferably a Master of Business Administration in Logistics
• 3-5 Years in Supply Chain operations /warehouse operations
• Experience of working with 3PLs
• Design and automation experience
• Budgeting /Planning and driving cost efficiencies,
• Relevant Experience in Procurement of Logistics Services and leading complex negotiations.
PREFERRED
· FMCG experience
