AP Accountant

The Finance team plays a crucial role in maintaining Veriff's financial health and stability. We use strategic decision-making to facilitate Veriff's growth while developing innovative financial solutions that align with our mission of creating a safer internet. As an Accountant, you will manage day-to-day financial transactions and support the month-end close process. Your role will mainly involve invoices and payment processing, expense reimbursements and supporting payroll calculations. You will work closely with the Senior Accountant to support financial reporting and assist in maintaining accurate financial records across various entities. Your positivity, knowledge of accounting, and fast “can do” attitude will help to find quick solutions to even the most unusual problems that arise in a high-growth start-up life environment.

You’ll help us protect honest people online by:

• Processing vendor invoices, payments, and accruals in a timely and accurate manner. ( Telema and NetSuite Experience Preferred)
• Reviewing and processing employee expense reimbursements and company credit card transactions.
• Performing monthly bank reconciliations for various entities, ensuring accurate cash balances.
• Preparing routine journal entries related to expenses, payroll, and bank transactions.
• Supporting month-end closing.
• Assisting in managing fixed assets, including recording acquisitions and depreciation.
• Supporting payroll calculations and related tax calculations.
• Assisting in submitting local statutory reports relevant to its specific area (e.g., in Estonia TSD, KMD, Statistics)
• Supporting payroll journals in other countries.
• Assisting in gathering data for VAT filings and other regulatory requirements
• Maintaining proper documentation of financial transactions and assisting in audits.
• Working with the Senior Accountant to ensure financial accuracy and compliance with company policies

You are the right future Veriffian for the job if you have:

• 2-3 years experience in Accounts Payables and Expense Reimbursements (Telema and Spendesk experience preferred)
• Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting.
• Articulate and efficient communication and interpersonal skills with excellent Estonian and English language skills
• High level of attention to detail and accuracy in financial data management
• Understanding different aspects of accounting rules and regulations
• A detail-oriented mindset while also having generalization skills
• A “can-do” attitude, with the ability to prioritize and deliver
• Problem-solving and solution orientation
• A team player ethic while being comfortable working independently

You’re an especially awesome match if you have:

• Worked in a multinational team before
• Experience with Telema, Spendesk, NetSuite and/or Merit
