The Strategy & Operations Israel team is responsible for running one of Wolt's most strategically important and complex markets. We operate across Rx, NV, Shopping, Wolt Benefits and Wolt+, in Hebrew, Arabic and English, at high volume and in a constantly evolving local landscape.Our work spans live operations, partner management, regulatory compliance, growth initiatives, and the day-to-day execution that drives Wolt Israel forward.

To sustain growth efficiently and maintain service excellence, we are investing in a dedicated function that translates global AI capabilities into local impact, identifying high-leverage opportunities, executing AI-driven initiatives, and equipping our teams with the knowledge and tools they need to operate smarter every day. The Automations & AI Implementation is the person who owns this function end-to-end: partnering with department leads, mapping repetitive workflows, building working solutions, and driving the adoption that makes them stick.

This is a hands-on role for someone who is technically sharp and operationally minded - someone who can sit with any team in the company, understand their workflows, and ship a working tool that genuinely makes their day better. The end users are non-technical operators, so the bar for usability is high. We measure success in real outcomes: hours saved, errors prevented, decisions made faster, costs reduced.

What you’ll be doingDay-to-day in this role you’ll:
  • Turn ops policies into executable tools. When a team has an SLA, a compensation rule, a regulatory check, or a recurring decision, translate it into a parameterized tool that the team can run themselves, and systems can plug into.
  • Build internal enablement, not one-offs. Whatever you ship leaves behind reusable templates, setup guides, and self-serve patterns so the next person who needs a similar thing can do it without coming to you.
  • Run an AI-augmented environment where it unlocks operational value. Use LLMs and SQL together to surface and connect the patterns, evaluate quality, audit large datasets and pipelines, and build the optimal setup that the automated tool would save a lot of time.
  • Partner across teams to ship, not advise. Embed with department leads, prototype with them, hand off ownership cleanly, and use what you learn locally to push improvements back to global product and ML teams.
Our humble expectations
  • 3+ years of experience in operations, business analytics, product, consulting, or a similar function where you have owned cross-functional projects end-to-end.
  • A deep, current understanding of the modern AI and automation tooling landscape - LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic), automation platforms, and the broader ecosystem of tools you would actually reach for to solve a problem.
  • A track record of researching a problem, selecting the right tools, and shipping a working POC quickly, with concrete examples you can walk us through.
  • Strong communication skills across audiences. You are approachable and easy to work with for non-technical stakeholders, and structured and confident when defending choices to leadership.
  • An operations mindset combined with the practical ability to build. You think about edge cases, SLAs, and adoption the way an operator does, and you can also build the tool yourself.
  • Fluency in Hebrew and English.
Bonus points
  • Hands-on experience with Cursor or similar AI IDEs to build and ship faster.
  • A portfolio (GitHub, Notion, demos) showing things you have built for non-technical end users.
  • Proficiency in SQL. You can pull the data you need, validate hypotheses, and define the metrics that prove your work moved the business. (Advantage)
