Advisor, Information Technology (Cloud DevOps)

The Advisor, Information Technology focuses on designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud-based infrastructure and automation solutions to enable efficient software delivery and operational excellence. This position bridges development and operations, ensuring scalability, security, and reliability in cloud environments. Position will be working hybrid based in San Juan, PR

Main Duties & Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain environments on platforms such as AWS & Azure.
• Ensure scalability, availability, and security of systems.
• Configure pipelines for automated deployments and continuous testing. Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using AWS CodePipeline, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions.
• Implement tools to monitor applications and services in real time.
• Adjust resources to optimize costs and performance in cloud environments.
• Act as a bridge between Development and Operations, fostering communication and agile culture.
• Resolve incidents and propose process improvements.
• Integrate Machine Learning models into production environments.
• Optimize resources for AI workloads in the cloud.
• Other duties may be assigned.

 

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, computer engineering, or related field required.
• Three (3) years of DevOps experience in cloud environments required. Banking experience preferred.
• Minimum education and experience required can be substituted with the equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge skills and abilities.
• Strong scripting and automation skills required.
• Experience with Python, SQL, AWS and Azure required.
• Experience in containerization (Docker, ECS, EKS) preferred.
• AWS DevOps Engineer certification is highly preferred.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), reporting systems and other business applications required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Spanish & English required.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, multitasking, teamwork, and ability to work effectively with clients is required.
