The Administrator role involves logging defect reports, managing operational efficiency, maintaining spreadsheets, communicating with clients, and ensuring timely operations support.

Reporting into the Administrator & AS-laid Manager. As a team Administrator is the key contact during works for the operational team.  The administrator will ensure that all operational teams are able to undertake their work in line with NRSWA and ensure that timescales are adhered to minimising any financial impact to the company. 

Key Responsibilities
  • Receive and log defect reports, assess situational urgency, and assign issues to the correct technician or engineer.
  • Build and maintain spreadsheets using advanced formulas and pivot tables to track open versus resolved defects.
  • Keep internal systems updated with real-time progress notes, resolution statuses, and historical repair data.
  • Communicate directly with clients, tenants, and internal departments to schedule repairs and manage wait-time expectations.
  • Track turnaround times against performance metrics and generate reports to help management identify recurring issues.
  • Monitoring KPIs related to turnaround times and generating reports to help management identify recurring issues. 
  • Understand and use the Symology system – training will be given on this
  • Provide general administration support
  • Ensure that safety issues are reported in line with company procedures


 

Experience and Qualifications
  • Prior experience in the Utilities sector is an advantage (full training is provided).
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically high proficiency in Excel.
  • Able to work in an organised manner to meet important deadlines
  • An in-depth understanding of utility operational activities and field workflows.
  • Exceptional planning and time-management skills to consistently hit critical deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to manage stakeholders under pressure.
