Billing Specialist

Convey, formerly Message Broadcast, is seeking a dynamic and driven Billing Specialist to play a pivotal role in shaping our growing accounting function. As the Billing Specialist, you’ll be at the forefront of managing the end-to-end AR process from prebilling, collections, and cash applications, becoming the go-to person for all things billing, revenue, and the customers’ finance point of contact. What you’ll do:  

• Assist with month-end closing processes and own responsibilities, such as full cycle billing process, collections, cash application, record maintenance, etc.  

• Oversee and streamline processes related to specialized revenue streams, ensuring accurate recording and reporting.   

• Assist with audits, providing necessary documentation and support.  

• Draft and maintain detailed documentation of accounting processes, including policy and procedure documents, working cross-functionally to complete.   

• Support and manage special projects and related ad-hoc accounting initiatives.  

• Identify and implement improvements to existing processes, improve internal controls, seek new initiatives, and display the willingness to take on special projects both individually and as part of a team.  

• Other tasks are based on team and business needs.  

Qualifications   

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance  

• 2-4 years of experience in an accounting role; start-up environment preferred.  

• Knowledge of finance principles and reporting.  

• Proficiency in Excel; pivot tables, lookups, etc.  

• Proficiency in enterprise accounting software, with a strong preference for NetSuite; experience with comparable platforms will also be considered.

• Highly motivated individual with the drive to learn and who knows how to work independently and within a team.  

Salary range: $65K-$75K annually, bonus eligible 

***This position offers a hybrid work arrangement, blending the benefits of in-office collaboration with remote flexibility. You'll be required to work from our office in downtown Denver, CO, on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays. To ensure a productive remote work experience, we provide a home office setup. Partial parking subsidy provided - $50 per pay period/biweekly.
