This temporary position is located at 2728 Capital Blvd., Raleigh, NC - Wake County with the NC Education Lottery.
Job Order Hourly Rate of Pay: $27.00 (Based on education and/or years of relevant work experience reflected on the application).

Management Preferences:
We are seeking a detail-oriented professional for a Temporary Retail Accountant assignment focused on ensuring the integrity of complex financial data. This role ensures the accuracy of our operations by performing regular audits, verifications, and balances on high-volume transactional data. **This is a hybrid position Duration is through the end of August with potential for extension **
Responsibilities:
- Verify weekly EFT Files in Microsoft Dynamics D365 and the banking system
- Prepare and reconcile the weekly Invoice Report using Microsoft Dynamics D365 and EFT File Distribute the file to the necessary departments
- Input weekly exception claims and the reconciliation of the affected accounts
- Prepares reports for instant games terminating and provides an analysis of net sales, prize expense, prize liability, prizes paid, and the return to education
- Manages the tax database quarterly, and the creation of the commission summaries database
- Reviews automated daily journal (ARD and ARDS) with the ICS Report for both traditional and digital and verifies the daily total Prepares reports and creates spreadsheets to reconcile reported data before distributing information
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field and 3 years of experience
- Knowledge of Accounting Procedures and Practices, including U S GAAP and Fraud rules
- Knowledge of Accounting Software Systems – Microsoft Dynamics D365 preferred
- Skills with SAS and Business Intelligence reporting
- Strong Skills in Microsoft Excel, Access, and Word
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multitask and meet deadlines
- Attention to detail
Hiring Range: $25 – 27 hr.
Minimum Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, or a degree in business administration, finance, public administration, or a related discipline from an appropriately accredited institution with 18 semester hours of accounting coursework; and two years of professional accounting/auditing experience in the preparation of interpretive or analytical accounting. financial statements and reports; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
