Intro:
We have an opportunity for an experienced accounting expert, proficient in spoken and written French and English, to join our team in Paris.
As a team, representing Intertrust Group, a CSC company, in France, we aim to address the need for a comprehensive, full-service provider that can help international investors navigate the complexities of this growing market. Our in-depth knowledge of this exciting jurisdiction takes the stress out of the process for our clients.
In this role, you will work closely with senior client accountants and senior management to provide accounting and financial services for SPVs and French companies. This role would suit an ambitious, energetic accountant keen to progress further in a dynamic, rapidly-growing business.
Some of the things you'll be doing:

• Setting up/maintaining the general ledger for new/existing clients through transaction research and assessing the applicable accounting treatment for a variety of Special Purpose Vehicles (SPV's) and French Subsidiaries
• Responsible for posting journal entries and keeping up to date accounting records for a portfolio of French Companies
• Preparing annual statutory financial statements including notes and disclosures under IFRS or French GAAP and in compliance with relevant company law
• Liaising with auditors and senior members of the team to finalise the audited financial statements to meet statutory and other deadlines
• Preparing routine monthly and quarterly management accounts and other client deliverables
• Preparing and filing of VAT returns, Corporation Tax returns and other French taxes
• Working with the accounting team towards process improvement and efficiencies
• Gaining familiarity with a diverse range of investments structures and products
• Ad hoc finance projects and general support to the senior members of the team

What technical skills, experience, and qualifications do you need?

• Baccalauréat + 2 years degree in accounting ( BTS compta gestion or DUT GEA)
• 2+ years' experience in a relevant role in an accounting firm or financial services company
• A good understanding of technical accounting knowledge is required
• Strong organisational skills and an ability to meet tight deadlines
• Team player, with strong problem solving skills
• Conscientious and diligent, with high attention to detail
• Professional, friendly demeanor with enthusiasm for the role
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel and accounting softwares
