Position Summary
The Sales Lead supports residential, commercial, and industrial sales and marketing activities for both new and existing customers within the division. This role provides daytoday guidance to the Sales team, helps drive sales strategies, and supports initiatives that increase margin and meter growth for Elizabethtown Gas (ETG). The Sales Lead actively sells, promotes, and markets natural gas services to residential and commercial prospects, while also serving as a resource and point of coordination for builders, developers, and internal partners.Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Support the development and execution of programs designed to increase customer count, margin growth, and meter additions for ETG.
Serve as a working lead by guiding Account Managers toward department goals while also achieving personal margin and meter objectives.
Assist in coordinating projects and resources to ensure efficient, costeffective margin growth.
Support Sales team participation in the Residential Home Builder market, ASHRAE, A&E firms, and other trade organizations to maximize opportunities for promoting and selling natural gas equipment for residential, commercial, and industrial applications.
Reinforce sales direction, daily priorities, and departmental goals to ensure alignment and consistency across the team.
Act as a key liaison between Sales personnel and internal ETG departments—including Operations and other support teams—to help facilitate successful delivery of gas service to new and existing customers.
Participate in planning and executing trade show events and outreach activities that increase ETG visibility and drive sales opportunities.
Provide leadership and oversight for the Customer Advocates supporting the Union division.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required Background
Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 5–8 years of relevant experience
Master’s degree with 3–5 years of relevant experience
At least 1 year of leadership, teamlead, or mentoring experience
Equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
BA/BS in Business, Marketing, or related field preferred
5–8 years of experience in the natural gas industry performing sales functions; experience should include customer service, understanding of gas and construction operations, and familiarity with rates and regulation
Strong business and financial acumen
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
Excellent cost/benefit analytical skills
Strong budget awareness and understanding of financial impacts
Excellent public speaking and presentation skills
Knowledge of the energy industry, both regulated and nonregulated
Understanding of energy tariffs and gas technologies, traditional and emerging
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Excellent negotiation skills
Intermediate computer proficiency
Proficiency with PC applications and software programs including MS Office (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint)
Strong understanding of department operating systems
Ability to read, interpret, and apply engineering and architectural plans
Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation

Compensation Range:
$84,375 - 135,000We are committed to pay transparency and ensuring equitability compensation for all employees. The pay range for this position reflects the base salary only and does not include benefits, bonuses, or other forms of compensation that might be part of the total compensation package. The specific salary offered will be based on a candidate’s qualifications, education, and experience.
