The Account Manager (w/m/d) Industry / Applied Microscopy position is responsible for increasing and further developing direct sales within your assigned region and customer base, with the objective of driving revenue and profit growth.
This position reports to the Sales Manager Applied DACH and is part of the Sales DACH department and will be working remotely with travel to cover the Canton of Aargau / Zurich region.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Take ownership of sales activities for microscopes and microscopy products across the cantons of Aargau and the Zurich region
Ensure accurate and timely reporting, as well as ongoing data maintenance, in the CRM system (SFDC)
Collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams, including Marketing, Product Management, and Customer Service
Develop effective sales strategies and adapt solutions flexibly to address specific customer requirements
Identify and actively pursue new business opportunities, including potential new markets, to drive sustainable revenue growth
The essential requirements of the job include:
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Natural Sciences, Materials Science, or a related field (experience in microscopy is an advantage), or a comparable vocational qualification
Proven track record in direct sales and business development, preferably in a related industry
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships at multiple levels within customer organisations
Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills
Willingness to travel to meet customers and prospective clients (~60–80%)
Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
