JOB SUMMARY: The ACA Specialist will work with the ACA Manager and ACA team to ensure all accessorial requests are reviewed and paid, along with sorting the ACA mailbox, researching requests, and providing a resolution to the requests in a timely manner.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Review incoming e-mails to the ACA mailbox and sort them into the appropriate folder.
- Review each accessorial request to ensure that they were received within 24 hours of the load being delivered.
- Review each accessorial request to ensure the correct paperwork is received.
- Utilizing McLeod and the paperwork received, verify the request is valid for processing.
- Communicate with Account Managers for approval as needed.
- Enter information onto spreadsheets and/or customer websites as needed per customer requirements.
- Communicate accessorial request denials to carriers.
- Monitor Teams channels for ACA inquiries and requests from Account Managers.
- Review the Pay Status Call Sheet to resolve carrier inquiries.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with carriers, customers, and Account Managers.
- Answer all calls coming into the ACA Department and handle them accordingly.
- Reach out to carriers for paperwork when needed.
- Send Rate Cons to carriers when requested.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICIATIONS
Education
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- A bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 1 year of related experience
- an associate’s degree and a minimum of 2-3 years of related experience are preferred.
- Additional related training and certifications will be weighted on a case-by-case basis.
Experience
- Work experience in the transportation industry is a plus.
- In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 4-6 years of related experience is required.
