Proenza Schouler is a New York based womenswear and accessories brand founded in 2002 by designers Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez. The duo met while studying at Parsons School of Design, eventually collaborating on their senior thesis which became their first collection as Proenza Schouler. Named after the designers’ mothers’ maiden names, the collection was bought in its entirety by Barneys New York. The work is generally defined by Jack and Lazaro’s use of fine luxury materials, consistently infused with a marked sense of effortlessness and ease. Since its inception, Proenza Schouler has played an important role in reinvigorating American fashion. Awarded with the inaugural CFDA Vogue Fashion Fund award in 2004, the emerging brand was quickly established as a leading talent in the industry. Proenza Schouler has won five CFDA awards, including the 2003 Swarovski award for Ready-to-Wear, the 2009 Accessory Designer of the Year award, and the Womenswear Designer of the Year award in 2007, 2011, and 2013. What you wear defines sport, street, and creative culture, and we’ve been redefining it with you all along. When you wear Converse products, you create a culture of authentic street style simply by being yourself. Whether they’re on the feet of a ‘70’s basketball star in a history book or on the street with you today, Chucks have always signified cool...because you wear them. We don’t know where you’ll go, but we know you’ll take Converse to the future with you. Based in Boston. Part of NIKE, Inc., but distinctly ourselves

We believe in FASHION FREEDOM for all of US. As we are. When Universal Standard was just an idea, we spoke about the change we wanted to be – not just the brand we wanted to build. We wanted to create access in a way that has never been done before - with style, quality, and fit as our unwavering guideposts. We wanted to erase arbitrary lines of the past in favor of a future in which all women, regardless of size, could shop from the same rack. We wanted to manifest FASHION FREEDOM in a way that saw all of US, as we are, right now. We are committed to pushing boundaries, leading with innovation, questioning established norms, saying “yes” and then making “yes” happen, being radically authentic, and banding together to build the future. We don’t think outside the box. We believe there is no box. If you’re serious about changing the world, but don’t take yourself too seriously... If you have multiple hats, and aren’t scared to wear more than one… If you think fitting a square peg into a round hole sounds like fun… If you think good can always be great...
