This position will be within the Fluence Digital business unit. Fluence Digital’s IQ platform uses artificial intelligence, advanced price forecasting, portfolio optimization and market bidding to ensure energy storage and flexible generation assets are optimally participating in wholesale electricity markets.

ABOUT THIS POSITION

Location: Hybrid (2-3 days in office) in Houston, TX

This position will be within the Fluence Digital business unit. Fluence Digital’s Mosaic platform, the energy trading optimization product of Fluence, uses artificial intelligence, advanced price forecasting, portfolio optimization and market bidding to ensure energy storage and flexible generation assets are optimally participating in wholesale electricity markets.

As a key member of our Product Management team, you will play a pivotal role in driving the success of Mosaic. In this role you will be responsible for strategy, vision, and roadmaps from concept through execution and delivery of existing and new SaaS products. You will collaborate with cross functional teams to help scale the Mosaic product by ensuring advanced forecasting and optimization features are built efficiently to serve multiple wholesale markets. Key responsibilities include:

· Develop and own the product roadmap and timelines from inception to delivery in different electricity markets

· Translate product needs into minimum set of scalable features and offerings

· Ensure timely delivery of roadmap features, by determining and providing clear prioritization and direction to software engineering and data science teams

· Communicate acceptance criteria and expected behaviors to QA team

· Partner with the market design team to understand the market rules of different electricity markets

· Partner with sales to come up with a go-to-market and pricing strategy for new features

What does the ideal candidate bring to Fluence?

• 3+ years of experience in product management as a product manager delivering SaaS solutions at scale using agile methodologies. 
• Passion for and knowledge of renewable energy systems and energy markets
• Fluent in product development processes, milestones, and metrics
• Strong conceptual understanding of machine learning and AI systems
• B.S. Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, etc.), or advanced technical degree
• Proven track record of taking ownership and initiative.
• Comfortable with ambiguity and complex technical problems
• Desire to motivate and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Experience working with data science driven products is a bonus.
