Field Support Technician
Job Description
Responding to associate service calls to troubleshoot the nature of reported problems and taking necessary steps to resolve those problems. Building and configuring PCs and laptops as well as loading software. Tracing cabling between workstations and communication closets. Performs other related duties as assigned, including ordering equipment. Demonstrated customer service and technical knowledge gained from prior experience to resolve issues surrounding installation, usage, and training on software and/or hardware products.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
High School Diploma and 2 years work experience or equivalent experience
CompTIA Network+ and A+ Certified or equivalent experience
Required Skills to include:
Troubleshooting skills for applications running on windows based platform (office, browsers, printers, etc.)
Experience with HP/Dell laptops, tablets and desktops running Windows 10
Experience with Microsoft server software
Experience troubleshooting network connections while working with a remote team.
Experience with packet capture (Wire Shark, ETC)
Experience with Microsoft Active Directory
Excellent customer service skills
Knowledge in Asset Management
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
Proven experience in an administrative and support role. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Self-starter with excellent written and verbal communications skills • Ability to successfully prioritize service issues based on multiple competing objectives. Ability to routinely multitask and reassign priorities. Ability to exert energy up to 20 pounds of force occasionally or a negligible amount of force to lift, carry, push or pull objects. Ability to be mobile to provide support throughout the facility and offsite offices.
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $49600 - $79400
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
