Job Duties and Responsibilities
As a Field Engineer II , you'll be out in the field keeping our facilities and equipment in top form by maintaining multiple locations in your assigned area. You will be in charge of post construction checks, single site verification, commissioning, site acceptance, testing and maintaining cell sites and edge and local data center installations. You will also be evaluating our network coverage and finding ways to make it even better.
Key Responsibilities:
In this role, you will:
- Operate, maintain, and perform preventative maintenance on cell site equipment in the wireless network.
- Support and deploy CU-CP and CU-UP network functions using VMWare Telco Cloud Automation Platform; conduct tests and troubleshoot remote configuration issues.
- Perform single-site verification using EXFO tool to check VSWR, PIM, RET, and swap issues; identify faulty radios and ensure correct fiber connections.
- Collaborate with microwave, transport, RF, and construction teams to troubleshoot integration, commissioning, and post-launch issues.
- Maintain accurate inventory records, submit regular reports, complete audits, and resolve network tickets within assigned SLAs with the Network Operation Center (NOC).
- Ensure compliance with DISH installation standards, maintain a clean and safe working environment, and provide input on process improvements and technical escalations.
Skills, Experience and Requirements
As a successful Field Engineer II, you will have:
Education and Experience:
- Technical degree in Electronics or Telecommunications, or equivalent military/industry experience.
- 4+ years in telecommunications with experience in RAN, 4G LTE cell site troubleshooting, and testing.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Familiarity with transport, RF, base-station turn-up, commissioning, and validation testing protocols.
- Expertise in PIM, VSWR, MIMO, RET, and fiber/LTE remote radio heads.
- Experience with base station equipment from Lucent, Motorola, Nokia, Samsung, or Ericsson.
- Strong troubleshooting, optimization, and maintenance skills for base station equipment, radio transmitters, and fiber networks.
- Travel required up to 75% domestically
- Physical abilities: standing, walking, bending, crawling into small spaces, working at heights, lifting objects up to 70 lbs
Salary Ranges
Compensation: $72,350.00/Year - $103,400.00/Year

The base pay range shown is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location.
