Each deal grows the highly visible ARR (annual recurring revenue) metric and has impacts on revenue accounting, billing and collections, and our legal relationship with the customer.


Some of the responsibilities you’ll have are:

  • Work in Salesforce.com and other customer management tools to review bookings and ensure key data points are accurate
  • Create internal documentation to help guide our sales team and provide them with the information they need to work within Carta policy
  • Analyze the impact on ARR of new and upsell deals closed
  • Assist in implementing new quoting and contract management systems
  • Review and sign customer contracts and order forms to ensure compliance with the Carta MSA and internal policies
  • Manage the approval process for non-standard contract and billing terms and pricing/discounts
  • Identify custom terms that can impact revenue recognition and help resolve them with the revenue accounting team
  • Participate cross-functionally in the roll-out of new product offerings
  • Work to implement team strategies that increase automation of the ARR reporting process leveraging new and existing subscription management tools

The Team You'll Work With

You’ll be joining our Finance team and accounting organization as a Deal Desk Analyst, interacting heavily with the Sales, Legal, and Customer Success teams. This role will have a high level of visibility in the sales and billing process with end-to-end responsibilities in executing contracts.

About You

You will be successful in this role if you:

  • Have knowledge of finance, revenue accounting, and sales operations
  • Have at least 2+ years of experience managing order-to-cash processes
  • Have used tools like Salesforce.com and/or a CPQ system
  • Have proficiency with Google Sheets/Microsoft Excel
  • Experience with billing, subscription, and contract management systems
  • Comfortable with a fast-paced environment that includes adhering to SLAs and high-volume interactions with both people and systems
  • Have experience effectively communicating complex processes or workflows to stakeholders at different levels
  • Have implemented new systems or automated processes
  • Have strong organizational and process-building skills
